Wrexham University seeks sector-leading engagement with industry and employers and aims to support the regional economy. The Technology Transfer Manager is a new and dynamic role within the Enterprise Team, playing a vital part in maximising the impact of the University's innovation and commercialisation activity.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and management of technology transfer and knowledge exchange across the University.
* Identify opportunities for commercialisation, support the creation of spinouts, licensing agreements, and collaborative projects, and help secure new funding to enable innovation-led growth.
* Deliver outcomes from the University's flagship Enterprise Engineering and Optics Centre (EEOC) project, ensuring that intellectual property, research outputs and innovation activities are translated into real-world benefits for industry, society, and the regional economy.
* Contribute to external funding initiatives, including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and SMART Partnership projects, ensuring the University maximises opportunities to grow its commercial portfolio and build strong industry partnerships.
* Work closely with colleagues across the university to support academics, researchers and students in navigating innovation-to-commercialisation pathways, build long-term partnerships with external organisations, and promote a culture of entrepreneurship, knowledge transfer and knowledge exchange across the University.
