Your new role
As Health & Safety Officer, you will support the Health & Safety Manager in the delivery and continuous improvement of HSEQ systems across all projects. This is a varied and hands-on role within a fast-paced construction environment, requiring both initiative and strong collaboration with operational teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the implementation and development of HSEQ systems across the business
2. Assisting with the generation and maintenance ofpliance and quality documentation
3. Supporting the reporting, investigation and documentation of incidents, near misses and non-conformances
4. Coordinating and monitoring health & safety training andpetency requirements
5. Undertaking site inspections and audits, and supporting the preparation and review of RAMS
6. Assisting with internal audits and maintaining ISO management systems
7. Monitoringpliance and ensuring health & safety standards are consistently applied
8. Working closely with site and operational teams to promote a strong safety culture
9. Supporting the delivery of health & safety initiatives and campaigns
This role will involve travel across Northern Ireland.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you should have:
10. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification)
11. Experience within a construction, engineering or similar environment in a H&S role
12. Understanding of safe systems of work and construction-related legislation
13. Experience supporting or working within ISO-accredited management systems
14. Knowledge of quality assurance processes within construction
15. Full UK driving licence (essential)
