What’s the best thing about working for OAT? That’s easy. The people. Whether it’s our pupils, who are diverse and full of character, or our staff, who are committed, full of energy and driven by the purpose of our work, our people are amazing; we value them and we take care of them.

Ormiston Rivers Academy is an exciting and supportive place to work. There is a commitment to teamwork at all levels in the school and we work together to provide outstanding opportunities for our students, supported by cutting-edge facilities. We are committed to high-quality teaching and learning, and we seek and embrace strategies to inspire and support our students.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible person to join our hardworking, supportive, and welcoming SEN Team as soon as possible. The role requires working for 32.5 hours per week, school term time plus 1 training day. We will also consider flexible working, such as job-share, flexible hours, etc.

Duties will include providing classroom, 1:1, or small group support to students with additional needs, disability, or specific medical needs.

* Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic
* Positive and professional
* Educated to at least GCSE Grade C in English and Maths
* Able to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and others
* Ideally, experienced in supporting students with special education needs or disabilities.

If you would like to arrange an informal chat regarding the role or a visit to the academy please contact Julie Damps, Academy HR Manager, via jdamps@ormistonriversacademy.co.uk.

Closing date for applications: 9am, Tuesday 10 December 2024. Interviews will be held as soon as possible thereafter.

Ormiston Rivers Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. Ormiston Academies Trust embraces diversity and promotes equality of opportunity. Flexible working opportunities will be considered.

All successful appointments will be subject to suitability checks in accordance with KCSIE, including identity, Right to Work, qualifications, online searches, prohibition check, two references, and enhanced DBS check including Children’s Barred List.
