The role
Our client is a globally recognized, industry-leading manufacturer situated in Telford, who has a superb opportunity for a skilled Design Engineer to join their Technical Department.

What you'll be doing
Supporting the design and development of automated machinery, equipment and component parts
Redesigning the configuration of existing equipment to improve functionality, reliability and longevity
Developing proposals and solutions to optimise the quality of production output
Supporting the drafting of Technical Manuals in line with agreed company standards
Ensuring equipment, parts and other materials are ordered in a cost-effective, responsible and auditable manner
Ensuring quality standards, including ISO9001 & 1SO14001, are maintained
Ensuring all project work is undertaken in a safe, responsible and timely manner, keeping relevant stakeholders informed of progress and completion deadlinesWhat you'll need
A minimum of an HNC or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Proficient with Autodesk (essential)
Time-served within a manufacturing background (FMCG or similar is highly desirable)About you
Proactive and self-motivated
The ability to manage a high workload and competing deadlines effectively
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving abilities
