A growing organisation based in a rural location between Worthing and Horsham is looking for an experienced HR generalist to support the Head of HR in partnering with stakeholders and the business. The role involves ensuring an efficient HR service with smooth processes and accurate payroll administration. You will be the backbone of HR operations, handling inquiries, leading on ER casework, HR administration, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Working closely with HR, Finance, and employees, you will contribute to a well-organised, efficient, and employee-focused workplace.
Your new role
1. Act as the first point of contact and face of HR.
2. Ensure compliance with employment laws, maintain accurate records, and support employee relations, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration.
3. Deliver excellent HR services to employees and stakeholders.
4. Maintain absence management records and produce reports.
5. Write and update policies and procedures.
6. Lead on ER casework, including disciplinary and grievance meetings.
7. Collate payroll data on Excel spreadsheets for outsourced payroll processing.
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous HR generalist experience.
* Proven ER casework experience.
* Strong systems experience, especially Excel.
* Car driver.
* Available to start ASAP.
