The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to step into a senior operational leadership role within a high-volume, fast-moving production environment. You’ll take full shift-level ownership of operational performance across a data-driven operation focused on converting inbound assets into quality-assured, revenue-generating components.
The role sits at the centre of a growing and evolving business, where operational leadership, commercial awareness and strong decision making are valued. You’ll be responsible for driving shift performance, managing resources effectively and ensuring operational flow across multiple departments.

The Role
As Shift Operations Manager, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams and oversee operational performance during your shift, ensuring targets are met while maintaining strong safety and productivity standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading teams across operational, production line, processing and warehouse functions on shift
* Making senior operational decisions and resolving issues in real time
* Owning shift-level performance including output, cost control and contribution margin
* Delivering planned throughput and recovery performance across the operation
* Managing bottlenecks, backlog and workflow adherence in real time
* Controlling labour productivity, utilisation and overtime spend
* Protecting contribution margin through disciplined operational execution
* Ensuring safety compliance and responding effectively to operational risk
* Driving continuous improvement and embedding lean thinking across teams
Shift Pattern:
Swing shift, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
6:00am – 3:00pm (one week) / 3:00pm – 12:00am (following week)

What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience leading large teams in fast-paced production, processing or manufacturing environments
* Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of cost, value and contribution margin
* Confident, data-led decision maker who performs well under pressure
* Demonstrable track record of improving operational performance and eliminating waste
* Visible leadership presence with a culture of accountability and pace
* Experience in high-volume processing or manufacturing environments advantageous
* IOSH Managing Safely desirable
