The Preservation Division of the New York Public Library (NYPL) is seeking applicants for a full-time Sound Engineer to assist in preserving the world-class audio collections held in the Library’s permanent research collections. The position description and application information may be found at https://jobs-nypl.icims.com/jobs/8275/sound-engineer/job (link is external) .
In 2013 NYPL completed a year-long Mellon-funded comprehensive assessment of its audio and moving image (AMI) collections, which are among the largest and most important in the world. This new Sound Engineer position is part of NYPL's growing resource commitment to address the AMI challenges identified in that assessment (information found at www.nypl.org/preservation (link is external) ).
