Operational Lead - Occupational Therapist

We have an exciting opportunity for a flexible, enthusiastic, and committed Occupational Therapist to work in the Operational Lead role in the Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service (CINSS) which is integral to Community Health Services.

The CINSS model of care involves transformation and partnership working across organisational and multi professional boundaries. The successful candidate will join a specialist multi-professional team comprising Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Neuropsychology, Generic Rehabilitation Technical Instructors and Neurology Rehabilitation Consultant, working closely with Speech and Language Therapy services.

The team provides patient centred, goal directed specialist neurological rehabilitation in community and outpatient settings. Enthusiasm for management, leadership, organisational and team working roles is required.

You will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of a team providing operational leadership alongside clinical and managerial supervision to Allied Health Professionals. Involvement in quality improvement and transformation projects is integral to this role.

You will need clinical skills and experience working in the field of stroke and/or neurology. If you are successfully short-listed, Interview will take place on 06.10.2025 at Braunstone Health and Social Care Centre.

Main duties of the job

* Monitor the quality of care provision and identify and promote areas for service development.
* Be responsible for the performance of the team and individuals within it.
* Act as a clinical role model and support care delivery for patients on the CINSS caseloads.
* Promote effective teamwork within the wider Primary and Secondary Health Care Teams, delegating activities appropriately, to the benefit of the patient and service delivery, and act as part of the hub leadership team.
* Act as a key point of contact for GPs, other general practice staff and social care providers and other agencies, and support the CINSS team at locality level.
* Support the Operational and Clinical Service Leads for CINSS in delivering high-quality care that delivers best value, and meets the requirements of commissioners.
* Work in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure high quality, integrated and seamless care is delivered.
