The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations and cost estimates for a range of manufacturing projects and products. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure commercially competitive and technically accurate submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing detailed quotations and cost estimates from customer enquiries and technical drawings
Reviewing specifications, materials, labour, and production requirements
Liaising with internal departments including engineering, procurement, and production
Managing tender submissions and ensuring deadlines are met
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and commercial risks
Maintaining accurate estimating records and pricing data
Supporting the sales team with technical and commercial information Requirements
Previous experience in an Estimator position within a manufacturing environment
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and estimating/ERP systems
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Package
£50,000 – £55,000 salary depending on experience
