We are currently seeking a Returns Assistant to join our returns department and provide essential support to the department supervisor. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about ensuring the efficient processing of returns within a busy and clean warehouse setting. Main Duties and Responsibilities Fully implement all instructions provided by the Stock Control Manager to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Accurately record and complete GDPR and MRHA documents associated with returns processing. Receive and process all returns in accordance with established return procedures, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Follow proper procedures for handling equipment items, including inspection, documentation, and storage. Safely and correctly carry out manual handling tasks, prioritising workplace safety at all times. Attend monthly team briefings to stay informed about departmental updates and initiatives. Ensure safe handling of medicines and controlled drugs in accordance with regulatory requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in work areas, including proper storage of pallets and management of waste materials. Follow established procedures for processing AWS items, including accurate record-keeping and system updates. Coordinate the movement of overstock items back into the system using the AWS system. Adhere to correct procedures when crediting POMs (Prescription Only Medicines) and chilled products, minimizing errors and discrepancies. Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining documentation integrity. Liaise with the responsible person to address any queries or issues that arise during the returns process. Ensure proper disposal of medicines and sharps by placing them in the correct boxes in the destruction cage, adhering to safety protocols.
