Contract Type: Permanent

Role Overview
We seek an experienced Principal Cyber Security Consultant to work on projects in defence, national security, environmental, and research sectors. You will provide strategic risk management and technical consultancy, safeguarding critical systems.
You must be passionate about cybersecurity, familiar with HMG, NCSC, and international standards, and possess excellent stakeholder management skills. Support and growth opportunities are available within a collaborative environment.
Candidate Profile
We welcome candidates with expertise in at least one area:
* Security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) aligned with HMG policies
* Securing Operational Technologies (OT), especially in military or Critical National Infrastructure
* Security Operations Centre (SOC) operations, cyber detection, and response
* DevSecOps
* Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) for enterprise, cloud, or air-gapped environments
Responsibilities include leading technical teams, shaping complex work, engaging clients, and supporting career development of team members. Line management experience is a plus.
Additional helpful skills include leadership, consultancy expertise, secure by design principles, industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443), cloud infrastructure, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and data analytics in cybersecurity.
This role requires full UK security clearance and residence in the UK for the past 5 years.
