Aircraft Fitter-Wildcat
RNAS Yeovilton, Yeovil BA 8HT

Serco has an exciting opportunity for an Aircraft Fitter (Wildcat) based at RNAS Yeovilton in Somerset. This role involves aircraft management and ground support for Wildcat aircraft.
Serco supports the Fleet Air Arm, including the Commando Helicopter Force at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, providing services from aircraft repair and maintenance to fuel delivery and support services. Yeovilton is a key military air station in the UK, home to numerous aircraft.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out contracted tasks as authorized by Customer Regulations and Procedures.
* Perform tasks in accordance with Customer Policy, Regulations, and statutory requirements.
* Complete contracted tasks timely.
* Report business risks to the WMF Serco Team Lead.
* Address customer complaints and Quality issues with supervisors or team leads.
* Comply with health and safety laws, Serco Management System, Customer Policies, Environmental procedures, and Equal Opportunities policies.
* Support other tasks within capabilities as directed by supervisors.
* Perform administrative duties as required.
* Attend necessary training courses.
* Report and communicate safety, engineering, and near-miss events to ensure compliance.
* Identify hazards and communicate risks to supervisors.
* Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
* Mentor Fitters Mates and Apprentices when qualified.
* Remain flexible to support additional tasks as directed.
* Represent Serco professionally in all interactions.
Requirements:
* Formal training in Wildcat aircraft and trade systems.
* Experience with Wildcat aircraft engineering, systems, and support equipment.
* Knowledge of Lean Operating Procedures, Naval Air Publications, and electronic technical publications.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations, COSHH, tool control, and quality practices.
* Familiarity with engineering and asset management systems.
* Completed a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
* Understanding of rotary wing military aviation procedures.
* Knowledge of airworthiness engineering safety and compliance regulations (MAA).
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure with initiative.
