Overview
Mechanical Fitter (temp) required for an immediate start in an engineering manufacturing company in High Wycombe for 12 months, and then ongoing for another 12 months.
Responsibilities
* Precision mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and finished products.
* Assemble and disassemble precision mechanical assemblies (including heat shrinks, bearings, bushes, sleeves).
* Repair and overhaul activities using a variety of hand tools, air tools, and workshop tools / machinery.
* Component inspection experience using micrometers and verniers.
* The ability to work from engineering drawings is essential.
* Basic computer skills are required as all work is logged on the company system.
* Strip down of small electric motors to bare components, followed by the inspection, refurbishment and re-assembly of motors.
Qualifications & Experience
* Essential: previous experience of precision mechanical fitting, assembly, inspection, and testing.
* Desirable: Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 Qualifications in Engineering.
* Any experience of realignment of small motor drive systems is ideal.
Employment Details
* Temporary role for 12 months, with an expectation to renew for a further 12 months.
* Pay rate: £20 per hour PAYE (or £27/hr Umbrella).
* 37 hours per week.
* Location: High Wycombe.
