A well:established architecture and surveying practice is looking for an experienced senior architectural technician to join its Kent:based studio. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial schemes, with a focus on precise technical design and high:quality construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed technical drawings, BIM models, and construction documentation across all project stages.
* Ensure all designs comply with UK building regulations, relevant legislation, and structural or services requirements.
* Collaborate closely with architects, surveyors, clients, and external consultants to deliver coordinated, practical design solutions.
* Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in drawing standards and efficient workflows.
* Assist in the preparation of tender documents, specifications, and other contract:related materials.
* Support sustainable design initiatives and contribute to the studio's digital design development.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a senior architectural technician in an architectural or multidisciplinary practice.
* Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, BIM standards, and detailed construction methods.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with excellent technical drawing and modelling skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
* Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative working style.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritise workload effectively.
* Based in Kent or within a reasonable commuting distance.
