Operations Manager
Salary: £31,067 - £37,035
37 hours per week with 40 days of annual leave.
Flexible working arrangements available.
Key Purpose of Role:
To lead operational systems across all schools, including catering, contract management, and facilities.
As a key leader of the trust, you will help deliver outstanding services to our schools and pupils, ensuring a safe environment for all learners.
Reporting to:
CFOO
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Support the CFOO in managing key contracts and Service Level Agreements to ensure performance and value for money.
* Assist with contract negotiations on behalf of the trust.
* Maintain a contract register for the trust for all schools.
* Manage control logs for business continuity plans across all schools.
* Develop and implement high-quality, innovative catering services aligned with the trust’s vision and objectives, providing nutritious meals to support learning and well-being.
* Review catering performance and support teams to improve efficiency.
* Lead procurement of catering supplies, ensuring quality and value.
* Negotiate performance outcomes with catering providers.
* Create nutritional and innovative menu plans.
* Ensure all schools adhere to food hygiene and service standards.
* Provide training and support to catering staff, including training needs assessment.
* Develop reporting metrics and KPIs for catering performance.
* Oversee health & safety across all facilities, ensuring equipment inspections and hygiene standards are met.
* Provide dietary advice and support for special diets, liaising with schools.
* Develop and maintain an asset management plan for facilities.
* Implement policies to ensure nutritional standards and food safety compliance.
* Perform any other duties as required.
