About the role
This position is suited for an experienced professional with a strong technical background in Building Surveying, aiming to create meaningful change and inspire growth within Buro Happold. As part of the Asset Consulting team leadership, you will develop and lead the building surveying service offer, leveraging existing client relationships and expanding them.
Work arrangement
We support hybrid working; candidates are expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week.
Candidate profile
We seek a natural problem solver with excellent client collaboration skills, passionate about enhancing building performance and sustainability. The role involves providing strategic property advice, leading projects across various sectors, and contributing to the firm's growth.
Key responsibilities
* Lead technical problem solving and project management across sectors like sport, culture, aviation, and education.
* Provide professional property advice, act as Project Director, and develop strategic reports.
* Manage client relationships and project resources within budget and schedule.
* Prepare financial proposals and contribute to technical development initiatives.
* Engage in continuous professional development and cross-disciplinary opportunities.
Candidate requirements
* Chartered status (e.g., RICS, CIBSE) with experience in facilities management or property consultancy.
* Ability to work independently and responsibly within a team.
* Experience in professional report preparation and project management.
* Strong financial, communication, and presentation skills.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
* Willingness to travel at short notice.
