Role Overview
The Resourcer will play a key support role within the Talent Acquisition team, working closely with the Recruitment Manager to build strong talent pipelines. You will source, screen, engage and qualify candidates for a range of roles across TSL Projects, ensuring we have a consistent influx of high-quality candidates. Your efforts will help reduce time-to-hire, improve candidate experience, and ensure hiring managers receive excellent support throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively source and identify potential candidates via LinkedIn, referrals, CV databases, etc.
* Build and maintain a talent pipeline for open and anticipated roles – both immediate and longer-term.
* Screen CVs/resumes to assess suitability of candidates against job specifications.
* Conduct initial outreach / contact with candidates: phone screens, email and brief interviews.
* Coordinate candidate communication, manage expectations, and provide timely updates to candidates and internal stakeholders.
* Support the Recruitment Manager by scheduling interviews, collecting feedback, preparing summaries of candidate profiles.
* Maintain accurate candidate tracking and data in the applicant tracking system (Workday).
* Assist in writing job adverts / postings and promoting roles to relevant target groups.
* Undertake market mapping, benchmarking, and research to identify key talent pools, competitor activity, salary expectations etc.
* Take direction from the Recruitment Manager to understand role requirements and contribute to defining candidate profiles.
* Ensure compliance with relevant hiring policies, data protection (e.g. GDPR), diversity & inclusion, and equal opportunity practices.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
* Experience in a resourcing role from in-house or agency environment.
* Experience recruiting permanent vacancies.
* Strong ability to use Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards and other sourcing tools.
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, good at building relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful – able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good data handling and familiarity with ATS tools.
Desirable:
* Experience recruiting in the construction industry.
* Some experience of managing candidate pipelines for both volume and specialist roles.
* Understanding of UK employment law / regulations related to recruitment (e.g. right to work, GDPR).
