Reed Business support is thrilled to be supporting our valued client based in Barry in their search for a customs and logistics administrator to support its logistics team. This role involves the day-to-day management of the Goods In Area, meticulous data entry for goods receiving and shipping, and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and company policies.
What you'll be doing:
* Manage the Goods Receiving Area and notify stakeholders upon the arrival of goods.
* Input data related to all goods receiving and shipping into the Company Inventory Module and other relevant databases.
* Ensure import and export compliance through coordination with various Customs brokers.
* Handle the control of Inwards Processing and Customs Warehouse including the preparation of Commercial Invoices, Bill of Discharges, and document management.
* Ensure compliance with the Transport of Dangerous Goods regulations.
* Raise Purchase Orders for logistics consumables as needed.
* Contribute to accurate stock data management using various software systems.
* Upload shipping data as required and assist with warehouse and shipping activities.
* Assist in the improvement of existing systems and practices.
* Perform additional duties as requested by Management to meet business demands.
What you'll need:
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong time management abilities.
* Proficiency in PC literacy, including ERP systems such as AvSight, SAP, Quantum, etc.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to identify problems and provide effective solutions.
