Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is now recruiting for Senior Clinical Advisors for a rotational role to fit alongside your current clinical position in our Emergency (999) Operations Centres based in Wakefield and York with course start dates from July 2024 onwards.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Clinical Advisor is responsible for the assessment of health and clinical needs, utilising professional clinical judgement, supported by decision support software. This requires generalist and specialist skills as a telehealth professional to assess and deliver care to patients.
As a Senior Clinical Advisor you will need to be able to demonstrate the following key skills:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Work with a variety of clinical specialists to ensure safe clinical processes for patients
* The ability to make quick safe clinical decisions under pressure
* Undertake referrals to internal and external clinicians
You will provide triage, medication advice, health information and implement care packages to a range of individuals, liaising with other agencies and healthcare providers as necessary.

To be successful in this role you should be a registered professional (for example, a registered Nurse or Paramedic) and have experience of undertaking clinical assessment within an acute or primary care setting.

* Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in acute or primary care settings with experience of clinical assessment.
