Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a busy electrical equipment manufacturer in Telford to recruit a skilled Panel Wirer with the ability to understand electrical drawings to wire their range of equipment. This is a 12-week temp-to-perm role with good long-term options. It offers a competitive hourly rate and excellent working conditions.
In this Wirer role, you will work days, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday. You will be part of a supportive team environment, working to drawings and following work instructions prepared by the applications team.
As a Panel Wirer at this Telford-based workshop, your duties will include:
* Correctly interpreting drawings and ensuring the availability of the correct components
* Wiring back plates to a high standard to ensure consistency in loom preparation and installation
* Liaising with the engineering department regarding build issues
* Supporting testing and inspection of panels
For this position, your skills, expertise, and experience should include:
* Preparation and assembly of wiring looms
* Control panel wiring, machine panel wiring, or switchgear wiring
* Electrical installation in industrial settings
* Copper work and installation (advantageous)
* Electrical qualifications (advantageous)
You will have recent experience as a wireman, electrical fitter, control panel wirer, or LV switchgear wirer.
In return, you will receive:
* An hourly rate of GBP 14.50 - 15, with a good shift pattern and very early finish on Fridays
* Overtime paid at time and a half during the week
* When permanent, benefits include a 12% pension, 33 days holiday, and full sick pay
