Join us as the EQS Manager for our manufacturing facility in Ulverston, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust processes for Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Security. You will advise the Business management team on maintaining a safe and healthy workforce by analysing data and implementing proactive measures to minimise risks. Lead investigations into incidents and non-conformances, identifying root causes and actions to prevent recurrence. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety and quality management, driving ownership throughout the organisation while collaborating with key customers to align on requirements and standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health & Safety regulations, protecting the people and reputation of Siemens Energy.
2. Advise the UK TI EAD Head of Manufacturing on legal duties and workforce safety, reporting on EHS performance.
3. Audit processes to maintain compliance and assist in document management procedures, providing training and support to employees.
4. Monitor EHS-related incidents for transparency and follow established reporting standards, ensuring timely communication with regulators.
5. Promote a culture of quality and safety, driving initiatives that enhance the EQS Leadership Culture within the Business.
What You Bring
6. 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing or technical discipline.
7. A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
8. Expertise in Health and Safety, with a strong understanding of current UK legislation.
9. Proven experience in implementing and improving a safety leadership culture.
10. Excellent knowledge of ISO standards and a Lead Auditor Certificate.
11. Skills in Business Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, with Lean and Agile competencies.
12. A track record of identifying risks, driving improvements, and leading change effectively.
