Job summary
Woodhall Farm Medical Practice in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an exceptional, experienced practice manager to lead our organisation on a part-time basis, for 24 hours per week, days and times will be discussed at interview.
As a busy practice serving the local community, we are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the NHS and primary care networks.
Main duties of the job
1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
2. Managing and developing the practice administrative staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
3. Liaising with NHS and other healthcare organisations, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
4. Implementing and monitoring systems and processes to improve patient experience and practice efficiency.
5. Managing the practice finances, including budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
6. Developing and implementing strategic plans to support the practice in its growth and development.

7. Experience as a practice manager or in a senior administrative role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a primary care environment.
8. Thorough understanding of the NHS, its policies, regulations, and primary care networks.
9. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
11. Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
12. Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
13. Passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and improving the patient experience.
