Job overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual with a genuine interest in research to join our friendly Research Delivery team based at Euston House, Telford.
The role supports research across a range of physical health specialties and long-term conditions, and will involve working across the whole of Shropshire as required.

Main duties of the job
The post is central to the delivery of research Iin the Trust and to support local services to deliver research projects which are included on the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) portfolio.
You will be responsible for the recruitment and follow up of service users to research studies. The role will involve undertaking study related procedures as appropriate and the assessment, planning and on-going care of research participants throughout the duration of the study.
The role will also manage/supervise research staff as required.
The role will deputise for the Research Team Leader when required.
You must be willing and able to travel across the Trust geography,

Training and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse or Health Care Professional with significant post registration experience preferably in research or relevant degree / experience
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Professional clinical knowledge acquired through specialist training to post-graduate diploma level including knowledge of research methodologies
* GCP Training
Experience
* An understanding of research methodology, production of research protocols, data collection and analysis
* Knowledge of ethics approval processes and other regulatory requirements
* Supervisory experience
* Significant experience of undertaking research
* Experience of working within research governance quality systems
Other
* Ability to travel daily for meetings across a range of sites in the Shropshire area and nationally
Knowledge and Skills
* Demonstrates an ability to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, sponsor companies and funding organisations.
* Ability to work on own initiative and to prioritize own workload
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including communicating clearly, concisely and courteously both face-to-face and by telephone and in writing communicating with patients/carers to maximise the patient understanding of research activities.
