Senior Talent Specialist at Apprentify: Developing Future Talent
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to get into finance or someone who already has a grounding in finance and wants to grow beyond the basics. The role will initially focus on core finance processes before steadily developing into more complex management accounts work, with the opportunity to progress with AAT studies.
What you’ll do:
Reporting into our Management Accountant and working closely with our Financial Controller, this role will have exposure across the full finance function.
Role responsibilities include:
* Processing supplier invoices and assisting with payment runs.
* Performing supplier statement reconciliations.
* Raising customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
* Credit control contacting customers and performing aged debtor analysis.
* Perform daily bank account and company credit card reconciliation.
* Processing staff expenses claims and helping to prepare the expenses payment run.
* Assisting with month‑end preparation.
* Updating internal accounting systems (Xero) and spreadsheets.
* Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve billing or payment queries.
* Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required.
What we’re looking for:
* Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
* Experience using Xero and Excel. (Desirable)
* Genuine desire to build a long‑term finance career.
* Motivated, proactive and willing to learn.
* AAT studies underway/ambition to start AAT. (Desirable)
