Job Description
An adult social care organisation is currently exploring a new proposition and is looking for a Commercial Advisor to explore partnership or acquisition opportunities, assess feasibility, and shape the right commercial approach. This piece of work will report into the strategy lead and is part of a wider project led by their internal team, including business case development, proposition design, and stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in structuring commercial partnerships and/or acquisitions, ideally within the education, training, or digital learning sectors. They should be able to work independently, with strong commercial acumen, legal awareness, and a pragmatic approach to scoping and evaluating delivery models.
Responsibilities
1. Lead commercial dialogue with potential training partners or acquisition targets
2. Define and evaluate partnership/acquisition models based on these discussions
3. Develop evaluation criteria for partner selection and deal structuring
4. Compare different strategic options (e.g., partnership vs acquisition), outlining pros/cons and feasibility
