Role Overview
Lead Teacher of History will be responsible for aspects of History teaching and learning throughout the Academy, supporting staff teams, promoting high quality practice, developing curriculum, reviewing policy, establishing clear principles, aims and objectives, and providing best opportunities for students.
Responsibilities
* Support and lead history teaching and learning across the Academy.
* Collaborate with staff teams to maintain high standards.
* Develop and review curriculum and policy for the subject.
* Establish clear principles, aims and objectives aligned with Academy goals.
* Propose strategies to raise standards and promote the subject across the Academy.
* Communicate effectively with staff and students to raise learning standards.
Qualifications
Experience as a teacher, excellent classroom practitioner, enthusiasm for best practice, strong communication skills, ability to work with staff teams, and a clear vision for raising standards.
