What you’ll be doing
as a Planner
1. Building and managing daily and future work plans for field teams to make the best use of available resources.
2. Working closely with supervisors, managers, and operational teams to coordinate and prioritise work.
3. Liaising with local councils to secure permits and approvals for planned activity.
4. Submitting, planning, and tracking leakage and customer-related work.
5. Managing outstanding and backlog work to ensure it is tightly controlled and completed on time.
6. Keeping customers and stakeholders informed throughout the lifecycle of the job and escalating issues where needed.
Working hours: 36 hours per week, 8 am till 4 pm or 7:30 am till 3:30 pm
Base location: Reading, Kemble Court, RG2 6AD – hybrid, with 2 days a week in the office
What you should bring to the role
7. Experience in a planning and scheduling role would be highly advantageous.
8. An understanding of Streetworks or traffic management would be beneficial, but training will be provided.
9. Experience or awareness of systems such as Salesforce, GIS, or planning tools is advantageous but not essential
10. A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
11. Strong communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders.

12. This role will be paid from £26,225 up to £32,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
