Associate Product Manager, MK.IO Platform

Position Overview
We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to support MK.IO Platform. This is an early‑career role for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning complex systems, and working with engineering and design to bring features to life. You will help shape both platform capabilities and client application experiences, contributing to work across backend services, operator‑facing management tools, and consumer‑facing applications for web, mobile and connected TV devices.
This role is ideal for someone who is curious about streaming technology, comfortable digging into details, and eager to build the foundational skills of product management. You will work closely with product leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure requirements are clear, solutions are intuitive, and features move smoothly from definition through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Work with design on user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to reflect real user needs
* Maintain and refine product backlogs in partnership with engineering teams
* Track development progress, clarify scope, and help unblock teams during sprints
* Test new features and validate that solutions behave as expected in real‑world workflows
* Synthesize insights from user feedback, internal stakeholders, platform data, and industry trends to inform product decisions
* Document decisions, trade‑offs, and expected outcomes for cross‑functional visibility
* Assist in defining success criteria and reviewing feature performance after release
* Contribute to client app strategy and participate in the development of new app features
* Build a strong understanding of MK.IO Platform architecture, tools, and customer use cases
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, Business, or equivalent practical experience
* 0–4 years of experience in product management, technical writing, operations, or a related field
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
* Detail‑oriented mindset with solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities
* Enthusiasm for learning streaming technologies, platform capabilities, and client applications
* Familiarity with agile development processes and modern software delivery
* Curiosity, empathy, and comfort working with both technical and non‑technical teams
* Proficiency with modern AI tools for analysis, research, documentation, and productivity
* Strong sense of ownership with a self‑motivated approach to learning and improvement

Desired Experience
* Exposure to SaaS platforms, SDKs, APIs, or developer tools
* Understanding of video workflows or experience with streaming or media applications
* Experience contributing to user research or usability testing
* Background in creating documentation or internal knowledge resources
* Comfort working with basic data analysis to support product decisions
* Experience in media, entertainment, or sports industries is a plus
* Exposure to mobile, web, or connected TV app development processes
* Genuine curiosity about streaming applications and how products work behind the scenes

Location: Southampton UK, Rennes, France - Hybrid (2–3 days a week office based)
