Financial Accountant - £60,000 - £65,000 20% Bonus - South London/Surrey | Hybrid working A leading FTSE-listed business with impressive offices in South London/Surrey is looking to appoint a newly qualified accountant who has trained within a mid-tier accountancy practice. Joining a high-calibre finance team of 10 qualified accountants, you will take ownership of financial accounting and management reporting across a range of businesses within the wider Group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone making their first move from practice into a listed commercial environment. Key responsibilities will include: Taking responsibility for the day-to-day financial performance of assigned entities, ensuring operations run smoothly and contractual, cash-flow and operational requirements are met. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including investors, shareholders, lenders, service providers and asset managers. Preparing quarterly management information and annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS, while supporting the treasury function with senior lender reporting. Overseeing a shared processing and invoicing team to ensure accurate and timely financial administration. Ensuring all entities remain compliant with relevant legislation, accounting standards, VAT requirements and hedge accounting obligations. Managing consolidation work across company clusters, including IFRS conversion adjustments for Group reporting purposes. Candidate profile: You will be a qualified accountant, either ACA or ACCA, with experience gained in audit and accounts preparation for commercial clients. Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly UK GAAP, is essential, while exposure to IFRS would be advantageous but is not required. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent attention to detail and the ability to take full ownership of their work. You should also be a confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a busy, collaborative and high-performing finance team.
