Job Title: FLT Bendi/ Flexi Driver.
Our client, based in Irlam, Salford, is looking to recruit an experienced FLT Driver who can work the rolling 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Main duties / skills required: FLT Bendi/ Flexi Driver.
* Safe and efficient operation:
The primary responsibility is to operate the Bendi forklift correctly and safely, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
* Manoeuvring in tight spaces:
Bendi forklifts are designed to operate in narrow aisles, so the driver needs to be skilled in navigating these spaces efficiently.
* Loading and unloading:
Drivers will load and unload pallets, boxes, and other goods from the forklift, using it to transport them to and from designated areas.
2. Warehouse and Logistics Support:
* Assisting with stock control:
Bendi drivers often assist with stock rotation, ensuring that goods are moved in a timely and organized manner.
* Following warehouse procedures:
They will be expected to follow established procedures for handling goods, including labeling, sorting, and packing.
* Working within a logistics environment:
They may also assist with tasks related to receiving shipments, preparing goods for transport, and other logistics activities.
3. Safety and Maintenance:
* Regular forklift checks:
Drivers need to inspect their forklift for any potential problems or damage, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
* Ensuring safe working areas:
They are responsible for ensuring that the forklift and its surroundings are free from hazards, such as spills or obstructions.
* Staying up-to-date on safety regulations:
They need to keep abreast of any changes in safety regulations and forklift operating procedures.
4. Additional Responsibilities:
* Assisting with general warehouse work:
They may be asked to help with other warehouse tasks, such as stock counting or packing.
They require someone with a minimum 12 months experience.
Hours of work:
4 x 12 hour shifts: 2 days/ 2 nights.
07.00 - 19.00 / 19.00 - 07.00.
Salary / Hourly Rates:
Starting on £14.25 per our, rising to £14.50 after 3 months work.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity.
