Role Description
You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the practice, playing a key role in delivering outstanding patient care while leading and supporting the team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the day-to-day running of the practice, including appointment scheduling, workflow, and customer service
* Ensuring exceptional customer service is at the heart of everything we do
* Leading, supporting, and motivating the practice team
* Staff training and ongoing development
* Target setting, monitoring performance, and driving the business forward
* Managing administration and ensuring compliance with GOC and NHS guidelines
* Supporting business development, marketing, and community engagement
* Maintaining a welcoming, professional environment for patients
About you
* Previous optical experience is essential
* Previous experience in a leadership or management role
* Confident dispensing at all levels
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Organised, proactive, and self-motivated
* Passionate about patient care and independent practice values
* Comfortable using practice management systems and digital tools
* Confident using social media platforms to help promote the practice, engage with patients, and support business growth
