* Early Years Practitioner required TERM TIME, 38 weeks plus INSET days
12 hours per week, 9 am to 1.00 pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.

We are seeking a Level 3 qualified and experienced practitioner to join our village pre-school.
As a cheerful, enthusiastic and professional member of the team you will work as a key person under the direction of the manager. You will be required to provide safe, high quality education and care which aims to meet the individual needs of the children. The door to our outside area is usually open and children can choose to move outside so you will need to have a positive attitude to being outside with them.

If you already hold a full and relevant level 3 license to practice qualification in Early Years, with current experience of working with children between the ages of 2 and 5, you could be just the person we're looking for
We hope the successful applicant could at times, work short notice additional cover hours to help the pre-school run smoothly for the children.
Your main duties:-
· Be a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely and building effective relationships with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met.
· Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and carers.
· Advise the manager of any safeguarding concerns regarding children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
· Assist with planning using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance.
· Teach children, offering a flexible approach with an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences.
· Ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child safeguarding protection procedures.
· Actively participate in our ongoing sessional and daily reviews of provision for the children in respect of individual interests and development.
· Actively participate in weekly team meetings and supervision and appraisal meetings.
· Attend update training and take responsibility for your continuing professional development.
You will need:-
· Level 3 early years qualification giving you a full and relevant license to practice.
· Previous experience of working with young children.
· Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
· Knowledge of child protection procedures.
· Good communication skills.
· An understanding of play based approaches to children's learning and development.
· Commitment to equal opportunities.
· Paediatric First Aid qualification that is in date.
