Youth Practitioner – Smoke Free Generation, Morden
Catch22 is seeking a Youth Practitioner to join the Smoke Free Generation project in Morden. This role involves designing and delivering smoking prevention, cessation, and education services for young people aged 11-24 in the borough.
Key Details
* Location: Civic Centre, Morden Library, London Road, Town Centre, Morden SM4 5DX
* Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
* Hours: Full-time, 37 hours/week
* Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
* Lead on the Smoking and Vaping Prevention Service across all ages (11-24).
* Provide evidence-based interventions based on NICE guidelines.
* Deliver education and support to young people considering smoking or vaping, including establishing a network of Smoke Free Generation Ambassadors.
* Develop pathways and referral routes to support services such as school nursing, youth providers, and mental health services.
* Travel across the borough and work occasional evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade C or above) or equivalent.
* Relevant skills, knowledge, and experience for the role.
Additional Requirements
* Must have access to a car and a full driving license.
* Support flexible working arrangements and remote working where possible.
