About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital part in helping children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) access personalised learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
* Providing 1:1 or small group support
* Assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans
* Helping pupils regulate their emotions and engage in classroom activities
* Supporting students with communication, sensory needs, or physical requirements
* Building trusting and positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
* Always adhering to safeguarding protocols and policies
Here at Teaching Personnel, we work in close partnership with local schools that require both short-term cover (such as sickness or absence) and long-term/permanent placements, giving you the freedom to choose assignments that match your goals.

We Are Looking For:
We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds. Essential qualities and requirements include:
* Experience supporting children or young people in education, medical, or youth work settings
* A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to working with pupils who have additional needs
* GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
* An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
