Our client, a specialist consultancy delivering IFS solutions to a wide range of external customers, is seeking an experienced IFS Service & Maintenance Consultant. You will lead client-facing engagements focused on designing, configuring, and delivering best-practice solutions within the IFS Service & Maintenance module and its connected functional areas.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in IFS Service & Maintenance, a strong understanding of the module’s touchpoints across the wider IFS ecosystem, and hands-on experience completing at least one full end-to-end IFS implementation where Service & Maintenance was the primary module. This role suits someone who thrives in a consultancy environment and enjoys influencing processes, shaping solutions, and driving delivery success for multiple clients.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of the IFS Service & Maintenance module across multiple client engagements.
* Facilitate discovery workshops to understand client service operations, maintenance processes, asset lifecycles, and field service requirements.
* Advise clients on best-practice use of IFS Service & Maintenance, ensuring scalable and future-ready process design.
* Map and document “as-is” and “to-be” service and maintenance processes, system interactions, and data flows.
* Configure Service & Maintenance functionality including work orders, asset management, preventive maintenance, scheduling, service contracts, and mobile service elements.
* Produce high-quality functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.
* Manage full implementation lifecycle activities, including system configuration, testing support (SIT/UAT), data migration input, cutover planning, and go-live readiness.
* Ensure strong integration across connected IFS modules such as Inventory, Projects, Procurement, HR, and Finance.
* Provide expert training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to client teams to ensure strong adoption and long-term capability.
* Support internal consultancy initiatives including methodology refinement, tooling improvements, and delivery standards.
* Participate in pre-sales discussions when required, helping shape solution scopes and provide domain expertise.
Skills & Experience
* Proven background as an IFS Service & Maintenance Consultant, ideally within a consultancy or professional services environment.
* Completed at least one full end-to-end IFS implementation with Service & Maintenance as the primary module.
* Deep functional knowledge of IFS Service & Maintenance processes: asset management, work order management, preventive and predictive maintenance, scheduling/dispatch, and service contract management.
* Strong understanding of module touchpoints, especially with Inventory, Projects, Procurement, HR, and Finance.
* Ability to interpret client operational processes and translate them into effective, scalable IFS solutions.
* Excellent stakeholder and client engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence, and guide decision-making.
* Strong documentation, analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Experience supporting testing phases, data migration planning, and go-live activities.
* Comfortable working across multiple client engagements while maintaining high quality and consistent delivery.
