Jigs and Tooling Engineer - Exciting Opportunity to Join a Leading Aerospace Manufacturer
Are you an experienced Tools Development Engineer with a passion for metrology and manufacturing engineering?
This company is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Jigs and Tooling Engineer, supporting the ramp-up at their Broughton plant.
As the Jigs and Tooling Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful industrialization of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting Projects. This will involve creating, developing, and modifying jigs and tools until final acceptance and handover to the Operations Team. You will also collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and align with the company's Industrial Vision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and specify requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements.
* Contribute to CDT MFT for production investigations, utilizing your tooling and metrology skills.
* Interpret aircraft design models and communicate information to operations and support teams.
* Define certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification processes, features, and schedules.
* Conduct Jigs and Tools Technical Assessments and produce Technical Acceptance Reports.
* Manage the design and manufacturing data sets for Jigs and Tools assets.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in manufacturing and engineering environments.
* Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems.
* Experience with aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures.
* Understanding of interactions between Manufacturing Engineering and other Business functions.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Leadership qualities and a self-motivated approach.
