Senior Care Assistant - Care Home - Bank
ABOUT THE ROLE This is a casual, part-time role offering flexible working. As a Bank Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you’ll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person‑centred care and support. Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager. You can also expect to support the clinical team in a specific area, such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews. Like everyone here, as a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents and play your part in creating an environment that is warm, welcoming and vibrant.
Job responsibilities
* Supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager.
* Support the clinical team in specific areas such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews.
* Attend to the various needs of residents and deliver quality, person‑centred care.
* Maintain respect for residents’ dignity and preferences and contribute to a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.
* Develop professionally through ongoing training opportunities, with progression potential to roles such as Care Practitioner, Regional Carer, or nursing.
About you
You should have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, and specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. We are looking for people who are warm‑hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support.

Hours and cover
