If so, we are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic Forensic Senior Practitioner. A secondment opportunity has arisen within the Forensic Outreach and Liaison Service (FOLS) for a Forensic Senior Practitioner based at The Firs in Hellingly to cover AMHP training. The secondment will be from January to June 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a busy Forensic Mental Health Service working with clients who have mental health issues and have a history of offending and/or challenging behaviour. The role involves discharge planning and the supervision of restricted patients in the community. We are looking for candidates who: Are self-motivated Are dynamic Are able to demonstrate a strong sense of initiative Can adapt to new situations whilst also working well as part of a team Has a Social work, occupational therapy, nursing or psychology qualification and is registered with the professional regulatory body You will be working closely with health colleagues’ whilst undertaking statutory duties on behalf of the Local Authority. Communication will be a core component of this role and you will need to draw upon your experience to navigate complex care pathways. The focus will be on developing the strengths and resilience of the person to ensure they are in a safe space and with specialist support in place to ensure their social care needs are met. You will be offered necessary training and support to develop your skills to carry out ESCC statutory duties under Part III of the Mental Health Act.
