Overview
We are seeking an engaging, enthusiastic and experienced individual to provide operational leadership for the Paediatric Imaging Service.
Responsible for a range of professional leadership duties including the operational management of the waiting lists and capacity within their designated area of responsibility as well as ensuring that administrative and clinical processes are co-ordinated and managed to deliver governance and performance functions.
Main duties of the job include working as a key member of the Imaging Management Team to provide essential managerial support and leadership.
Responsibilities
* Provide effective day-to-day operational management of the paediatric imaging service.
* Develop and contribute to cross-site service plans and projects, including change initiatives to ensure the service is delivered effectively.
* Manage the business activities of the paediatric imaging service in accordance with Trust policies and within allocated resources.
* Continuously develop an effective, efficient and cost-effective structure for future delivery of services with involvement from clinicians, professionals and commissioners.
* Meet imaging performance targets in alignment with DM01 and the Cancer PTL.
* Take a proactive role in continuous improvement of equitable cross-site services.
* Act as a delegated budget holder and authorised signatory for specialties pay and non-pay budgets, including accountability for revenue budgets and procurement of capital equipment (within Trust delegated limits).

* Educated to master’s level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
* Experience of continued learning and professional development to postgraduate diploma or equivalent
* Experience of working within a complex, varied and unpredictable environment

* Project management qualification

* Demonstrable previous success in leading and delivering service change and performance initiatives
* Evidence of preparing and presenting reports up to Board level
* Evidence of the ability to source, interpret and report on highly complex data
* Evidence of managing operational arrangements to a high degree of accuracy, timeliness and effectiveness
* Ability to work as part of a team and/or independently across departmental and professional boundaries
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with staff at all levels and with external organisations on behalf of the Division
