Job Description: Operations Manager
Telent’s Network Services division is seeking an Operations Manager for its Infrastructure Services team, covering the Northern region. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of the Fibre Build programme across Leeds and Yorkshire. A full UK driving license is required.
Location and travel expectations:
* Northern region – Travel across Leeds and Yorkshire, attend meetings at Telent offices 1-2 days per month, and work from home.
The Operations Manager will collaborate with operational teams, including third-party resources and the customer, ensuring high operational standards, meeting SLA and KPI targets, and investigating failures. The role involves identifying service improvements and working with stakeholders to implement cost-effective solutions, promoting best practices across the business.
Responsibilities include:
* Creating customer SLA performance reports
* Maintaining accurate service documentation
* Planning resource forecasts based on field requirements
* Line management of the Operations team
* Supporting project and service delivery strategies
* Understanding project requirements, mobilization, and onsite start-up
* Managing tools, equipment, and materials
* Conducting health and safety inspections
* Implementing service improvement initiatives
* Developing maintenance schedules and managing incident escalations
* Ensuring SLA and KPI adherence and investigating issues in real-time
* Managing QEHS risks and safety measures
* Providing resourcing and skills assessments
* Supporting commercial aspects like invoicing and variations
* Liaising with clients to meet standards and rectify issues
* Understanding client contractual deliverables
Key requirements:
* Strong organizational skills

* IT proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
