Job Description
As CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Victim Support's future. Reporting to the CEO and leading a team of around 15, you will ensure the charity's financial sustainability and provide expert leadership across all areas of finance.You will:
3. Provide strategic financial leadership to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board
4. Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting to support growth and long-term sustainability
5. Oversee financial controls, audits, statutory reporting and governance frameworks
6. Develop and motivate the finance team to deliver high-quality accounting, analysis, procurement and property management
7. Ensure strong financial input into tenders, grants and new ventures, including cost and profitability analysis
8. Following probation, lead the organisation's approach to risk management
The Successful Applicant
9. A proven track record of success in a senior finance role (in the charity, social enterprise or private sector), leading teams in complex organisations with annual income above £20m
10. Experience in an executive team setting is essential
11. Experience of providing financial leadership and advice in a commercial and competitive setting, including:Evaluating and developing new commercial service propositionsContract analysis and reporting in a service delivery context
12. Strong emotional intelligence skills with a proven ability to motivate and lead a team to transform and deliver in a challenging environment
13. Experience of implementing and exploiting digital / technology to deliver the finance function
What's on Offer
