Head of Biology
An 'Outstanding' graded comprehensive school and sixth form in Hackney are seeking a Head of Biology to lead and inspire the hardworking BIOLOGY department for a September 2026 start. This is a permanent, and full-time contract, paid on the Inner London Scale + TLR.
As the Head of Biology you will have the ability to set high standards and present as a professional role model for staff in the teaching and leading of the subject. You will have shared responsibility for providing the highest quality of Biology education! * MPS2 - UPS3 + TLR Inner London
* Located in the Borough of Hackney
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
* Strong academics across the board - Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
* Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
* Strong Biology Teacher with ability to lead from the front with best practice
* Must be willing to listen to feedback
