Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Setting Out Engineer.The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately translating design plans into physical markers on-site, ensuring precise positioning of structures in accordance with project specifications.ResponsibilitiesInterpret and review engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to determine setting out requirements.Use specialised surveying equipment, such as total stations and GPS systems, to mark out positions on-site.Ensure all setting out activities comply with health and safety regulations and project standards.Collaborate closely with project managers, surveyors, and construction teams to coordinate activities.Conduct quality checks to verify the accuracy of setting out points throughout the construction process.Maintain detailed records of measurements, adjustments, and modifications made during setting out operations.Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to site layout or measurements promptly.RequirementsProven experience as a Setting Out EngineerStrong understanding of engineering drawings, plans, and technical specifications.Proficiency with surveying tools and technology such as total stations, GPS equipment, and related software.Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and markings.Must have own equipmentAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Valid UK driving licence is preferred for site travel purposes.A recognised qualification in civil engineering, surveying, or a related field is advantageous.This job has been advertised by Hexa Services who operate as an employment business.TPBN1_UKTJ
