Job Summary
£14.45 – £14.95 per hour (basic rate). Additional £2.00 per hour for work on bank holidays and £3.50 per hour for night shifts. 30‑hour contract. 30‑35 days holiday (pro rata), 10% in‑store discount, enhanced family leave, pension scheme, long‑service awards.
Role Overview
As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you’ll help maintain high standards day after day, motivating your team and taking responsibility for the shop floor to keep the store running like clockwork in a fast‑paced and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Motivate and support your team, learning from our Leadership and Company Principles.
* Swiftly solve problems and delegate tasks.
* Create an environment where your colleagues can succeed alongside you.
* Manage operations within the store and lead colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager.
* Handle freshness, cash processes, inventory and stock management to ensure shifts run smoothly.
* Provide customers with the best experience every time they visit the store.
