This Fire Damper Lead Engineer role offers a great opportunity to join an experienced and passionate team and to grow a specialised area of the business. As Duct Cleaning experts, they provide services in ventilation and grease hygiene, including Fire Damper Testing, Installation, and remedial works, serving the public sector, utility companies, industrial, commercial, and retail clients. They are established with rigorous growth plans; we are looking for talented employees to join our knowledgeable team.
Responsibilities
Ensure all Environmental Hygiene Testing and Remedial Contracts are completed to standard and customer satisfaction, including:
* General Ventilation remedial works and cleaning
* Fire Damper Fitting and remedial works
* Ductwork Fitting and amendments, e.g., installing fire stopping
* Liaise with customers or their representatives to agree on work and priorities, following the schedule where available
Key Performance Indicators
* 100% attendance expected
* No aborted calls unless outside influence
* Work safely, completing all risk assessments and avoiding RIDDOR incidents
Job Specific Functions
* Control workload by coordinating onsite jobs with written programmes, setting priorities, ensuring sufficient manpower and equipment, and supervising adherence to procedures
* Ensure work complies with customer, statutory, and health and safety regulations, including chemical storage and PPE
* Maintain equipment in a serviceable condition, reporting deficiencies or damage
* Supervise Compliance Operatives to meet standards and training requirements
* Manage costs within job budgets
* Represent the company professionally onsite
* Assist in training new operatives and temporary staff
* Handle urgent onsite issues, advise on progress, and set daily priorities
* Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct (Ref: POL037)
