Gyms Duty Manager at JD Gyms

Role overview
This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, and the skill, energy and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager. We are looking for a manager with experience of maintaining and developing the standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities
* Operational running of the gym at all times.
* Opening and closing the site as required by operational hours.
* Working early in the morning, late weekdays, and weekends.
* Adhering to Health & Safety and Company Procedures Handbook.
* Maintaining the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
* Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks and reporting defects.
* Achieving all sales and membership targets and maximizing secondary spend revenue.
* Ensuring the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness.
* Managing outside‑of‑contract cleaning and supervising in‑house cleaners.
* Enforcing uniform standards and delivering outstanding member service.
* Creating an enjoyable environment for the team and contracted personnel.
* Undertaking any other reasonable duties, projects or meetings.
* Being an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Skills and Experience
* Management experience in a leisure‑related industry.
* Passionate about customer service and inspirational leadership.
* Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.
* Experience driving sales and coordinating local marketing activity.
* Substantial experience as a Fitness Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar operational role.
