This specialist study skills tutor role will be an integral part of our student support team, working directly with students to improve their academic performance. Position description / Job description Develop individualized learning plans tailored to students' specific needs. Provide academic support focusing on organization, time management, and research skills. Guide students in effective learning strategies and techniques. Collaborate effectively with university staff and other support services. Assess student progress regularly and adapt learning plans as needed. Utilize online teaching technologies to enhance the learning experience. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress. Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of support services. Expectations / Requirements We're looking for you, if: You possess proven teaching experience with students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLDs). You hold a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent). You have experience supporting autistic students and possess a deep understanding of their needs. You have a minimum of an undergraduate degree (Level 6). You demonstrate excellent communication and mentoring skills. You are proficient in utilizing various online teaching technologies. You are committed to inclusive education and fostering a supportive learning environment. Completion of relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules is required (support provided).
