Sharp Consultancy are working with a long-standing, Sheffield based business who are looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant on a full time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a supportive finance team within a stable and growing organisation. The role will suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident working to deadlines.
Key responsibilities will include:
* End-to-end processing of payroll on a weekly and monthly basis
* Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and in line with current legislation
* Managing starters, leavers and changes to employee records
* Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP and pensions
* Handling payroll queries and providing a high level of service to employees
* Supporting with payroll reporting and reconciliations
* Working closely with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy
The successful candidate will:
* Have previous experience working in a payroll-focused role
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Be confident using payroll systems and Excel
* Have up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation
* Be a proactive team player with a professional and approachable manner
What’s on offer:
* Salary between £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience
* Full time, permanent position
* Flexible working hours with the option for 1 day working from home after a successful probation period.
