About your team The Fixed Income investment team manages money for investors across the globe and across investment strategies from money market to high yield and total return funds. As of Dec 2024, Fixed Income assets under management were close to US$100 billion. With more than 100 Fixed Income professionals based in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Toronto and Tokyo, the team comprises expertise in portfolio management, trading, credit and quantitative research, investment directing and investment services. About your role As a member of the Fixed Income Trading team, you will be responsible for transacting in Fixed Income securities on behalf of Fidelity’s funds, and as part of Fidelity’s global investment team. This will require you to have a strong ability to communicate news and views to a broad and diverse team of investors and develop an understanding of their respective objectives and requirements, while at the same time managing our relationships and communication with the sell side and trading venues. You will be expected to manage all your activities with utmost care and attention, applying market-leading trading skills and standards, and understanding the impact of your actions on all of Fidelity’s funds and our reputation as a market participant and asset manager. As a trader, you will be a highly valued core member of the investment team and actively engage with portfolio managers and analysts on an ongoing basis, including discussing trends, liquidity conditions or market technicals, and ultimately influencing investment decisions in a proactive and positive manner. You will generate trade ideas, primarily in the European HY and EM space, provide liquidity opportunities and best execution - using a variety of trading protocols. We expect you to provide input and thought leadership on trading technology, regulatory developments and relevant market structure trends; and to help us to continue to optimise the use of all protocols - voice, electronic, automated etc. About you You should be able to demonstrate the following: A strong understanding of Fixed Income markets and role-relevant products, both Bonds and Derivatives, such as Credit Index and Index Options, TRS and Single-Name CDS In-depth & practical knowledge alongside significant experience in either HY or EM markets, ideally both A proactive attitude to collaboration Charles River OMS knowledge advantageous Approved person status with relevant regulatory bodies to perform relevant Controlled Functions Feel rewarded For starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package.
