Job Summary
As a Technology Product Manager for Finance, you will own the technology product solutions that support Beazley’s core value stream, Corporate Functions. You will be the primary technology partner for Finance, translating business needs into product roadmaps and ensuring successful value delivery through incremental and transformational change. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and global technology teams to build reliable, well‑supported platforms and systems, lead delivery activity with offshore partners and vendors, and align work to priorities, quality standards and timelines. Your role supports Beazley’s ambitions of simplification, modernisation and growth by ensuring technology products in Finance deliver measurable value and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Shape and execute the technology delivery strategy and roadmap for the Finance portfolio, aligned with Beazley’s modernisation and growth objectives.
* Prioritise initiatives and investments with business leaders and SMEs to maximise value and accelerate transformation.
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications, maintaining a user‑centric design approach.
* Communicate with stakeholders to gather, analyse and relay feedback that informs continuous improvement.
* Champion innovation and emerging technologies, assessing impact and recommending adoption.
* Lead quarterly Portfolio Increment planning events as Agile Release Train Engineer, ensuring cross‑stakeholder agreement and effective execution.
* Drive end‑to‑end delivery of technology initiatives, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
* Champion agile and DevSecOps practices to accelerate delivery, strengthen resilience and enhance customer experience.
* Own backlog governance and prioritisation, enabling effective sprint planning and coordination of cross‑team dependencies.
* Foster strong vendor and service provider partnerships, ensuring contractual compliance and maximising value.
* Oversee portfolio systems governance, availability, performance and capacity across production and non‑production environments.
* Represent portfolio systems during incident triage and major incidents, providing technical leadership and safeguarding business continuity.
* Ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of Finance systems through robust security measures and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Collaborate with IT leadership, legal and compliance teams to address IT issues and maintain governance frameworks.
* Implement and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies and procedures related to Finance systems and data processing.
* Contribute to management of annual plans and budgets aligned to business strategies.
* Optimise cost efficiency across technology delivery, vendor contracts and resource allocation.
* Comply with Beazley procedures, policies and regulations, including the code of conduct incorporating PRA and FCA Conduct.
* Undertake training on Beazley policies and procedures as delivered by your line manager, People & Sustainability or assurance teams.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
* Proven product management experience in technology delivery within Finance for a Specialty Commercial Lines insurer, with deep knowledge of premium accounting, expense allocations, chart of accounts, GL, AR and AP processes, multi‑entity/multi‑country environments, tax, billing, collections and credit control.
* Awareness and understanding of IFRS17, Solvency II, financial planning and analysis, reserving, deductibles, regulatory and statutory reporting (ideally Treasury).
* Strong experience managing a complex portfolio with multiple suppliers and global teams.
* Knowledge of Workday, Agresso, and payment systems such as FIS and Swift.
* Expertise in Finance data modelling, data lineage, reconciliation, integrity, auditability, ETL mechanisms and API‑based integrations with policy administration and claims systems.
Preferred Education And Qualifications
* Data literacy (SQL, BI tools, data modelling).
* University degree or equivalent experience.
* Certifications in Agile Leadership, Scrum Master, ITIL or Project Management desirable.

* Demonstrated ability to manage IT and non‑IT projects delivering business value and quality.
* Experience delivering IT change using internal resources, third‑party solutions and outsourced services.
* Guide and manage stakeholder expectations across the full product lifecycle.
* Act as the voice of the customer, translating user needs into clear requirements and prioritising based on data‑driven insights.
* Experienced change manager, advising on IT and business change while minimising delivery risks.

* Knowledge and expertise in general ledger, sub‑ledger and insurance‑specific finance systems, reconciliation, reporting tools and planning systems.
